Kiwanis Club of Woodhaven Promotes Literacy Across Local School Districts

The Kiwanis Club of Woodhaven, Michigan has been a consistent champion of literacy since 2007, when they began their partnership with The Dictionary Project. Since then, the club has gifted over 7,650 dictionaries to third grade students across the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District and the Trenton School District.

Recently, students at Gudith Elementary School in Brownstown beamed with pride as they received their own personal dictionaries, thanks to the club’s continued generosity. The initiative not only supports vocabulary building and language skills but also fosters curiosity and independent learning at a critical stage in students’ education.

By providing such valuable tools, the Kiwanis Club of Woodhaven continues to make a lasting impact on the academic journeys of local children—one dictionary at a time.
