Raleigh Midtown Kiwanis Brings Dictionaries and Values to North Ridge Students

On April 11, 2024, four members of the Raleigh Midtown Kiwanis Club visited North Ridge Elementary in North Carolina to distribute personal dictionaries to all 140 third grade students across seven classrooms.

As part of their partnership with The Dictionary Project, each classroom received a dedicated visit where Kiwanians not only presented the dictionaries but also taught students how to look up meaningful words like trust and respect—reinforcing both vocabulary and character education.

This initiative highlights the Kiwanis mission of improving the world “one child and one community at a time,” and reflects how simple tools like dictionaries can empower young learners while building strong community values.
