Baltimore Rotary delivers dictionaries with help from the mayor

On February 21, 2012, the Baltimore Rotary Club, accompanied by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, distributed dictionaries to students at Mary E. Rodman Elementary School and Highlandtown Elementary-Middle School. It is the Rotary Club’s goal to give dictionaries to all of the third-grade students in the Baltimore City Schools.
Vincent Robinson, Baltimore’s Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Ameous Lucas of Towsontowne Rotary Club, Debbie Rock of the Baltimore Rotary Club, Michele Brown from Senator Barbara Mikulski’s office and Eric Collier presented dictionaries to the students at Mary E. Rodman and Highlandtown 215 Elementary Schools.
Mayor Rawlings-Blake talked about why these donations are so special.
"I can’t say enough about how important it is to have a dictionary at home. Having a dictionary at your side allows you to know the meaning and the pronunciation of every word."

In addition, Towsontowne Rotary Club members Ameous Lucas and Eric Collier and Baltimore Rotary Club members Debbie Rock and Sabina Page presented dictionaries to third-grade students at Dr. Bernard Harris, Sr., Hamilton, Northwood, and Grove Park Elementary Schools in Baltimore.
