The Bartow Rotary Club of Florida has taken bold steps to support literacy across Polk County, donating 4,500 dictionaries to third-grade students over the past year. As part of their annual partnership with The Dictionary Project, the club ensures young learners receive essential educational tools to support reading and writing skills.
This year’s presentation at Bartow Elementary Academy was coordinated by Rotarian Steve Githens, who personally delivered the books and shared in the students’ excitement. The smiles and appreciation were captured in heartwarming photos submitted by the club.
Since joining the initiative, the Bartow Rotary Club has made a lasting impact, helping thousands of students strengthen their vocabulary and reading comprehension.
