Blaine Elementary Students Receive Dictionaries from Louisa Rotary Club.
The Louisa Rotary Club continues its impactful literacy outreach by donating dictionaries to third grade students at Blaine Elementary School in Louisa, Kentucky. As part of The Dictionary Project, this initiative helps ensure every student has access to a personal reference tool that supports their academic success and vocabulary development.Students were thrilled to flip through the pages of their brand-new dictionaries, discovering not just word definitions but also maps, grammar guides, and facts about the U.S. government and world countries. Teachers welcomed the donation, noting how valuable it is for their lesson plans and for encouraging student independence.
“This is more than just a book—it’s a gift that empowers learning,” said a Rotary Club member. “We’re proud to support students in our community through this meaningful program.”
The Louisa Rotary Club has been a proud partner of The Dictionary Project for years, distributing thousands of dictionaries to area schools and helping young learners build a foundation in literacy.
