Fallon Rotary Donates 6,400 Dictionaries to Churchill County Students

The Rotary Club of Fallon, Nevada continues its two-decade tradition of promoting literacy by giving every third grade student in Churchill County a personal dictionary. Since launching the initiative in 2004, the club has distributed nearly 6,400 dictionaries through The Dictionary Project.

One recipient school, E.C. Best Elementary, shared on Facebook,

“Every year, they supply ALL 3rd graders in Churchill County with brand new dictionaries. Our students love having new books in their hands… In a world of so much technology, this day always makes us so happy!”

The excitement of receiving a book never gets old—and in this case, it’s a lasting tool for learning that will support these students for years to come.
