Lowell Lions Club Donates Dictionaries to Lake Village Elementary Third Graders

The Lowell Lions Club in Indiana made a meaningful impact at Lake Village Elementary School this month by delivering personal dictionaries to two third-grade classrooms. As part of their ongoing commitment to literacy and youth development, the club’s initiative ensures students have access to a foundational learning tool that supports reading, writing, and independent learning.

Jen Consenza, a club representative, shared:

“Hello Lake Village Elementary School! Great students today receiving their very own dictionary. The Lowell Lions Club visited two 3rd grade classrooms and delivered dictionaries. The goal of this program is to assist all students in becoming good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners.”

This effort aligns with the mission of The Dictionary Project, which aims to give every student the chance to own a dictionary. These books aren’t just for the classroom—they’re resources students can use at home and for years to come.

The Lowell Lions Club continues to show what service looks like in action—one book, one student, one future at a time.
