Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club Continues Literacy Legacy in Adams County

Since 2014, the Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club has proudly partnered with The Dictionary Project to support literacy in Adams County, Illinois. Their mission: to ensure every third grade student receives a personal dictionary to help them succeed in school and beyond.

To date, the club has donated nearly 11,000 dictionaries across local schools. Most recently, students in Mrs. Sprick’s and Mr. Koening’s third grade classes at Thomas S. Baldwin Elementary School were thrilled to receive their very own copy of The Best Dictionary for Students.

The gift was more than a book—it was a symbol of empowerment. Students eagerly flipped through pages, discovering new words, fun facts, and tools they can use throughout their academic journey.

Thanks to the Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club, the joy of learning continues to spread—one dictionary at a time.
