Rotary Club of Eastman Donates Dictionaries to Dodge County Students

The Rotary Club of Eastman, Georgia recently continued its commitment to education by donating dictionaries to all third-grade students at Dodge County Elementary School. Smiles lit up classrooms as students received a dictionary of their very own—a tool that will support their reading, writing, and learning journey.

This tradition is part of a broader literacy initiative in partnership with The Dictionary Project, a nonprofit that aims to empower young learners with free reference tools. Since joining the program in 2005, the Rotary Club of Eastman has provided over 5,300 dictionaries to students across Dodge County.

Rotarians believe that literacy builds the foundation for academic and lifelong success. By placing dictionaries in the hands of every third grader, they’re helping foster a love for language and learning at a crucial stage in children’s development.
