Rotary Club of Kingman Route 66 Empowers Students with Dictionaries

Since 2006, the Rotary Club of Kingman Route 66 in Arizona has proudly partnered with The Dictionary Project to promote literacy in Kingman and surrounding communities. Over the past 18 years, the club has gifted more than 13,000 dictionaries to third-grade students—giving each child a personal tool to improve vocabulary, spelling, and reading comprehension.

This year’s distribution brought smiles across classrooms as students received their very own dictionary. Club volunteers shared the importance of strong language skills and encouraged students to explore the many features found inside the book—from the U.S. Constitution to world maps.

By supporting literacy through action, the Rotary Club of Kingman Route 66 continues its mission of “Service Above Self,” helping ensure that every child has the resources to succeed.
