Rotary Club of Washington Township Brings Words to Life for Students.
Since 2011, the Rotary Club of Washington Township, New Jersey has been making a meaningful impact on local literacy through its participation in The Dictionary Project.. Over the years, the club has donated more than 6,550 dictionaries to third-grade students in Washington Township Public Schools. This year, students from Room 13 at Bells Elementary School sent a heartfelt thank-you letter along with a collage of joyful pictures showing how excited they were to receive their own personal dictionaries. Rotarian Vince Esposito shared the images and noted how rewarding it is to see the students’ appreciation.
By placing these essential learning tools directly into students’ hands, the Rotary Club continues its mission to support education, foster curiosity, and strengthen community ties—one dictionary at a time.
