Fayetteville Rotary Delivers Dictionaries to Lincoln County Third Graders

In a continued commitment to literacy and community service, the Rotary Club of Fayetteville, Tennessee partnered with local Interact Club members to distribute personal dictionaries to all third-grade students in Lincoln County and Fayetteville City schools, including Riverside Christian Academy.

As part of The Dictionary Project, each Webster’s dictionary is customized with the student’s name and includes The Rotary Four-Way Test, a timeless ethical guide asking:

Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Since 2005, Fayetteville Rotarians have delivered more than 7,800 dictionaries, helping students strengthen vocabulary, reading comprehension, and classroom confidence.

By giving students a dictionary of their own, Fayetteville Rotary not only supports academic growth but also plants seeds of curiosity, character, and lifelong learning. It’s a meaningful investment in both education and the values that make communities stronger.
