Kiwanis Club of Snoqualmie Valley Donates Nearly 10,000 Dictionaries

Since 2007, the Kiwanis Club of Snoqualmie Valley has supported local literacy by gifting personal dictionaries to every third grade student in the Snoqualmie Valley School District. To date, they’ve presented nearly 10,000 dictionaries to area students—an impactful tradition that continues year after year. A recent post by Timber Ridge Elementary School on Facebook thanked the club for their continued dedication:
“Each third grader received a brand-new dictionary. All of the students were thrilled… We appreciate the Snoqualmie Valley Kiwanis for continuing this longstanding tradition.”
By placing dictionaries directly into students’ hands, the club helps them grow as independent readers, writers, and thinkers. This initiative aligns with The Dictionary Project’s mission to ensure that every student in America has access to a personal dictionary to foster academic success. 📘 With nearly 10,000 students reached, the Snoqualmie Valley Kiwanis exemplifies the power of community-driven educational outreach.
