Pawling Rotary Club Delivers Dictionaries to Pawling Elementary Students
Third grade students at Pawling Elementary School in Pawling, New York, were all smiles as they received their very own personalized dictionaries. This generous gift came from the Pawling Rotary Club, continuing a local tradition of promoting literacy through The Dictionary Project.
The Pawling Rotary Club began its partnership with The Dictionary Project in 2004 and has since provided nearly 2,800 dictionaries to area students. Each year, club members personally visit the school to hand out the books, fostering a love of learning and language in the next generation.
By giving each student a personal dictionary, the club empowers them with a tool that encourages independent reading, improves vocabulary, and supports classroom learning.
