Elizabethtown Rotary Club Delivers Dictionaries to Bladen County Students

The Rotary Club of Elizabethtown in North Carolina continues to invest in the future of Bladen County by gifting dictionaries to every third grade student through The Dictionary Project.

This cherished annual tradition brings excitement to students, who eagerly anticipate receiving their own personal dictionary. Since launching the project in 2005, the club has donated over 7,000 dictionaries to young learners in local schools.

The project not only supports literacy and academic development, but also instills a sense of ownership and pride in learning. For the Elizabethtown Rotarians, it’s one of the most rewarding ways they serve the community—empowering children with tools to succeed in school and beyond.
