Cut and Shoot Family Lions Club Brings Dictionaries and Smiles to Texas Classrooms
Since 2014, the Cut and Shoot Family Lions Club in Texas has partnered with The Dictionary Project to provide third grade students at Austin and Milam Elementary Schools in the Conroe Independent School District with personal dictionaries. To date, the club has donated 2,160 dictionaries, making a lasting impact on literacy in the community. Along with the dictionaries, Lions also handed out pencils to all students—extending their generosity beyond the classroom.
“The kiddos love them! And we love giving!” shared one club member, reflecting the spirit of service and joy behind the project.
This initiative is more than just about books—it’s about empowering students with essential tools for learning, reading, and lifelong success.
