I am heading up a project for my Rotary Club to furnish dictionaries to every third grade student in Osceola County.
Gulf Breeze High School Key Club planned and completed an outstanding dictionary project for the elementary schools in the Gulf Breeze and Pensacola area.
`Every person who knows how to read has it in their power to magnify themselves, to multiply the ways in which they exist, to make their life full, significant and interesting.`
The Republican Women's Club of Jefferson Parish donated dictionaries at sixteen schools this year. Here is a sample of the many pictures and thank-you letters they received.
The Kiwanis Club of Big Lagoon recently presented each third grader at Hallmark, Allie Yniestra, Pleasant Grove, Blue Angels and Hellen Caro Elementary Schools with their very own dictionary.
