The Rotary Club of North Jackson, Mississippi, recently distributed 450 Webster’s Encyclopedic Dictionary to the 3rd graders in five local public schools.

Access to dictionaries is an important factor in learning to read.

Starting two weeks ago and continuing through January, free dictionaries are being distributed to third graders in every school in Hernando County, reaching nearly 1,800 students.

The Laurinburg Rotary Club has completed its annual dictionary project after distributing more than 475 copies of the student dictionary to all third graders in the Scotland County school system.

 The Rotary Club of Niles distributed dictionaries to third graders at two schools in the city of Niles on December 13.

Each year, about this time, the Liberty Rotary Club donates a brand new dictionary to every third grader at Liberty Elementary School.
