Clearfield Rotary and Mature Resources Distribute Dictionaries to Local Students Since 2008, the Rotary Club of Clearfield, Pennsylvania has partnered with The Dictionary Project to provide third grade students with their very own personal dictionaries. To date, nearly 4,400 third graders in the Clearfield area have received this essential learning tool thanks to the club’s continued commitment to literacy. This year, Mature Resources, a Clearfield-based nonprofit focused on enhancing the lives of older adults and their communities, joined the Rotary Club in presenting dictionaries to students at Clearfield Elementary School. Their collaboration demonstrates a powerful intergenerational commitment to education and community engagement. Projects like these advance The Dictionary Project’s mission to improve literacy and learning through the gift of a personal dictionary, empowering students with resources that support reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and lifelong learning.
