Mayfield Grange and Fire Department Gift Dictionaries to Local Students
Third grade students at Mayfield Elementary School in Mayfield, New York recently received the gift of knowledge—a personal dictionary—thanks to the Mayfield Grange #683 and the Mayfield Fire Department. This year, 53 students received their own copy. The Mayfield Grange has partnered with The Dictionary Project since 2008, helping nearly 1,400 students build strong literacy foundations. Their long-standing commitment to the community reflects a shared belief in empowering children through education. The school shared their appreciation on Facebook:“‘Tis the season of giving! Thank you to David Newkirk and members of the Mayfield Grange along with the Mayfield Fire Department for their donation of 53 dictionaries to our 3rd grade students. The Grange has been donating dictionaries to Mayfield 3rd graders for over 20 years, we are grateful for their dedication to our school.”📘 Local partnerships like this make a lasting difference in students’ lives—one word at a time.
