Montague Grange Donates Dictionaries to Local Third Graders

Third grade students at Montague Elementary School in Montague, California were delighted to receive their very own personal dictionaries, thanks to a generous donation from Montague Grange #140. As part of the national Dictionary Project, the local Grange continues its commitment to literacy and lifelong learning.

Grangers Kathy Benson Snyder and Becky Rosenkrans visited the classroom to personally present the dictionaries, sparking excitement among the students as they flipped through pages filled with words, facts, and educational tools. These resources not only help strengthen reading and writing skills but also instill a sense of ownership and pride in learning.

This initiative reflects the core mission of the Grange and The Dictionary Project: to empower young learners by providing essential tools for academic success.

This project highlights the value of community-led literacy initiatives. Providing students with dictionaries promotes vocabulary development, independent learning, and better reading comprehension—key skills for lifelong academic achievement.
