North Phoenix Kiwanis Club Brings Joy and Dictionaries to Third Graders
The Kiwanis Club of North Phoenix has been sparking curiosity and joy in Arizona classrooms since 2005, when it first partnered with The Dictionary Project. Each year, members visit third-grade classrooms in the Washington Elementary School District #6, presenting students with a personal dictionary to keep.
To date, nearly 19,000 students have received this valuable educational tool, with teachers and kids alike expressing deep gratitude. A favorite part of each visit? Watching the kids try to pronounce the longest word in the English language—a hilarious and educational highlight!
Thank you to the North Phoenix Kiwanis Club for promoting literacy and making a lasting impact on thousands of young learners.
