Hamlet Lions Club Donates Dictionaries to Oregon-Davis Third Graders

Third graders at Oregon-Davis Elementary School in Indiana had a special surprise visitor recently—members of the Hamlet Lions Club, who brought with them a gift that supports lifelong learning: a personal dictionary for each student.

Since 2018, the Hamlet Lions Club has partnered with The Dictionary Project to provide nearly 300 third graders with their own dictionaries. The students were thrilled, eager to flip through the pages and explore everything from word definitions to geography facts.

A huge thank you to the Hamlet Lions for making literacy a priority in their community and helping students build the skills they need to succeed.
